Leicester Comedy Festival

Arguably one of the best comedy festivals anywhere, Leicester Comedy Festival has vowed to be back for the 2021 festival in Feb next year. In the meantime there’s also a range of specially created online events planned to keep your funny bones tickled until the festival.


Curve

Curve is a spectacular, state-of-the-art theatre in the heart of Leicester’s vibrant Cultural Quarter.

Whilst they’ve been closed, Curve have been busy curating their The Show Must Go Online programme - a wide range of digital content to keep you entertained, inspired and creative during these difficult times; including archive recordings, in-depth conversations with leading theatre-makers, activities, educational resources for children and much more!


The Spark Arts for Children

The Spark Arts for Children is a busy children's art organisation based in the cultural quarter, which gives children opportunities to immerse themselves in the arts.

During this time of social distancing, the Spark team have been busy working to bring you Spark at Home - a collection of creative resources and imaginative activities for families that enjoy jamming, making, listening to new stories or taking a creative challenges.


Attenborough Arts Centre

The University of Leicester’s Attenborough Arts Centre is a pioneering place to make and see art, and they’ve been very busy keeping creatively connected with audiences while the venue has been closed, with online activity packs, podcasts and all manner of arty stuff.


Phoenix

Phoenix is Leicester’s centre for independent cinema, art and digital culture and has created Phoenix at Home – the place to come to find handpicked recommendations for what to watch, read, listen to, and create online while the cinema is temporarily closed.

Each week they share their selection of things that they think you’ll enjoy in the week ahead – from films recommendations and digital art, to education resources and new opportunities to get creative online.
