About

Attenborough Arts Centre

The University of Leicester’s Attenborough Arts Centre is a pioneering place to make and see art.

The galleries host three major exciting and inspiring contemporary art exhibitions each year. Alongside each exhibition is a a series of regular free lectures, debates, talks, tours and family workshops.

They have a friendly and experienced team who are happy to assist and inform visitors about their range of year-round activities including courses, workshops, contemporary art, performance, dance and live music.

Building on its historic connections to the Attenborough family, the centre is a lively and engaging place to spot new talent, entertain children, learn a new skill, buy jewellery, prints and craft by local makers or simply meet up with friends and family over a coffee in the Attenborough café.

The arts centre prides itself on being accessible and inclusive. It is fully accessible for wheelchair users and pushchairs. There is an induction loop hearing system available in all rooms and a Changing Places facility. At the front of the building there are four blue badge parking bays which can be booked in advance.
