About

Upstairs At The Western

Upstairs At The Western is a pub theatre that produces and hosts comedy, poetry, musicals, drama, music, shows and improvisation

It provides an immersive and intimate theatre experience and is one of Leicester’s hidden gems.

Take a drink upstairs, relax and enjoy a show in the cosy 40-50 tiered seat theatre. Upstairs At The Western is a fully equipped black-box theatre space, with prerigged lanterns, speakers and projection controlled by light and sound desks in the wing (stage left).

The standard configuration is for 44 raked seats end on, with the first row at stage level and a 4m x 4m (depth x width) flat stage space. Extra rows of 8 seats can be added at the expense of 1m of stage depth each time.
