Leicester Tigers

Leicester Tigers

The formidable Leicester Tigers have an illustrious history dating back to 1880.

The Tigers are now the best-supported and most successful club in English rugby, occupying an enviable position in the game both at home and abroad. With 10 English league titles and back-to-back European crowns, the Tigers have cemented their place at the top of the professional game, setting the benchmark for others to follow.

Welford Road has hosted rugby matches since 1892. The old ground has been developed and expanded over the years and now has a capacity of 26,000, including the towering 10,000 seater North Stand which opened in 2009. The opposite South Stand is home to a large terrace where fans can stand and watch the match unfold.

The stadium houses a ticket office, an official Tigers shop as well as conferencing and wedding facilities.

It is now one of the world's greatest club rugby grounds, not just in terms of size but also the electric match day atmosphere: passionate fans close to the action create a buzz unlike any other. Come along to support the team and hear the tigers roar!
