November in Leicester

Memories of summer holidays lounging by the pool are long gone as we bid farewell to summer and say hello to the chillier and darker winter nights.  All you probably want to do is curl up on the sofa in the sanctuary of your own home and hibernate. Hold that thought for a few minutes…long enough for us to tell you about all the upcoming events in Leicester. We’re sure you’ll have a change of heart!

Firework Frenzy

This time of the year is one of the busiest in Leicester but even though Diwali has ended for another year, Leicester continues to shine under an umbrella of light with the forthcoming Abbey Park Bonfire and Firework Display. On Saturday 2 November you’ll enjoy all the usual fun and frolics with the addition of something extra special. Lords of Lightning will be performing on the night, shooting a million-volt bolts of lightning across the night sky alongside a high-intensity soundtrack to really get you pumped.

Why not pop along to the Fischer County Ground where you can marvel at another one of Leicester’s great venues for a spectacular Fireworks Evening, lights and laser show. Alongside the fireworks children can enjoy fairground rides, attractions, face-painting and activities in the indoor cricket centre with plenty to keep the entire family entertained, as well as food and drinks available from a range of catering outlets.

Rainbows Bonfire Night 2019 at Leicester Racecourse is always a jam-packed event and this year is no different, with fun, laughter, enjoyment and spectacular fireworks. As well as a firework frenzy you’ll be able to get a bit toasty by the bonfire.
