A series of 6 lectures on the archaeology of the Anglo-Saxon period locally by Peter Liddle MBE – former County Archaeologist for Leicestershire - on Thursdays from 2pm - 4pm.
Prior booking is useful but not essential.
Attend the whole course or just come to individual lectures:
- May 1st: The Anglo-Saxon Conquest
- May 8th: Early Saxon Settlements
- May 15th: Early Saxon Burials
- May 22nd: Mercian Leicestershire and Rutland
- May 29th: No lecture
- June 5th: The Viking Invasion and the Danelaw
- June 12th: Late Saxon Leicestershire and Rutland
