Leicester has long been feted for its thriving local music scene, with stalwarts including Engelbert Humperdinck and Showaddywaddy, through to modern hitmakers and Glasto perennials Kasabian and Easylife.

But now there’s a new name on the scene and they’re making waves from their base in the city. Gazelle, who were formed in 2016 are releasing their new single ‘Lady Blue Sky’ on Friday 16 June, and it is already making a dent on streaming platforms, sitting at number 1 in the indie chart and threatening the top ten singles. This single marks an exciting chapter for Gazelle, as they build on the success of previous releases and with the support of a solid fan base, which includes acclaimed actor Stephen Graham (This Is England, Boardwalk Empire) who also stars in the band’s music video ‘Finger On The Trigger’.

Below you can watch the new video, which was filmed (in true Beatles style) on the rooftop of a building in the middle of Leicester.

Gazelle drummer Danny Wright said: “We have worked really hard on this single to create something special and the rewards have shown it’s paying off. Our lead singer Ryan who wrote the song has created something that is catching the attention of listeners.”

Singer Ryan Dunn said: “We're buzzing that it's gone down so well and people are taking to it. We've worked hard on this single so it's class that we're outdoing some of the mainstream big boys with no label backing and with very limited previous radio exposure.”
