A new production for 2024 from the creative team that brought you 'Hairspray'.
The classic, multi-award winning musical 'Singin' in the Rain', will be gracing the Kilworth House Theatre stage next summer.
Adapted from the 1952 movie of the same name, ‘Singin’ In The Rain’ is set in Hollywood in the 1920’s, when the silver screen found its voice and left silent movies – and some of its stars – behind! Packed full of charm, romance, comedy and tinsel town glamour, this spectacular show focuses on romantic lead Don Lockwood, his sidekick Cosmo Brown, aspiring actress Kathy Selden and Lockwood's leading lady Lina Lamont, whose less-than-dulcet vocal tones make her an unlikely candidate for stardom in talking pictures!
One the world’s best loved movies and Laurence Olivier Award Winner for Best Musical Revival in 2001, ‘Singin’ In The Rain’ features all the songs from the glorious MGM score including ‘Good Morning’, ‘Make ‘em Laugh’, ‘You Stepped Out Of A Dream’, ‘You Are My Lucky Star‘ and the show-stopping ‘Singin’ in the Rain’.
This light-hearted spoof of frantic Hollywood - as the advent of sound changes all the movie making rules and Monumental Studios prepares its romantic epic ‘The Duelling Cavalier’ – includes some of the best-loved comedy routines, dance numbers and love ballads ever written. Singin' In the Rain is quite simply 24 carat classic entertainment
