Leicester Racecourse has very recently modernised and rebranded the café which is located in the main Grandstand. The Café was built in 1997 along with the stand and has seen a number of external catering contractors trading from there, and now the racecourse has taken the all new ‘Punters Café in house serving delicious hot and cold rolls. The simple but yet tasty menu comprises of both hot and cold meat filled rolls, sausage rolls, chips and a selection of snacks. The meat is cooked to perfection by the Head Chef, and a different offering will be available each race day. Everything on offer is very reasonably priced with meal deals costing £6.50 which includes a meal, side and a drink. The major work was undertaken by local company JR Allen and the racecourse employed a number of local painters and cleaners to complete the works. Punters Package plus vouchers can be purchased for £25 which includes, entrance in to the course, a drink from the bar, and a meal from the Punters Café.
