What’s happening?

The gates open at 5pm along with the fun fair and food stalls. Music and entertainment start at 6pm.

A quieter firework display for noise-sensitive and younger visitors will take place at 6.45pm, when a ‘Tetradactyl’ with flares and fire fountains lights the bonfire, before the dazzling main display lights up the skies above the city at 8pm.

The programme for the evening finishes at 9pm.

How can I buy tickets?

You must buy your tickets in advance, no tickets will be sold on the gate on the night and online sales close at 2pm on Sat 4 November.

Get your tickets early and you could get great discounts on individual, family and group tickets. Children four and under free.

How much are tickets?

Early Bird Discount: Ends 13 October

Adult £9, Family ticket (2 adults, 2 children) £26, Group ticket (up to 4 people) £28, Concessions and under 16s £7.50

Advance Tickets: Ends 3 November.

Adult £10, Family ticket (2 adults, 2 children) £28, Group ticket (up to 4 people) £30, Concessions and under 16s £8

On the Day: Ends 4 November, 2pm

Adult £15, Family ticket (2 adults, 2 children) £40, Group ticket (up to 4 people) £40, Concessions and under 16s £10

Free Carers ticket is available from Visit Leicester in person when booking a ticket for a guest with additional needs. You will need to bring proof of carers.

Children aged four and under will be admitted free of charge

What do I do when I arrive?

Abbey Park gates will open at 5pm on Saturday 4 November, when the funfair and food stalls will open. Live music and entertainment will get under way at 6pm, with the children’s firework display and the lighting of the bonfire due to take place at 6.45pm. A countdown to the main firework display will start at 8pm, with musical entertainment continuing until 9pm.

There are 4 main entrance gates. Please use use gate B by St Margaret’s Pastures, or Gate, using the bridge by the Leicester Riders Morningside Arena for quicker entrance times.

GATE A Standard entrance - Abbey Park Road LE4 5AQ. 

GATE B Large entrance - The main car park on Abbey Park Road LE4 5AQ.

GATE F Limited entrance - St Margarets Pastures LE1 4BD.

GATE J Standard entrance - Charter St, Leicester LE1 3UD.

There is no re-admission to the event. Once you have left the event you will not be able to get back in.

You will need to have your digital tickets available on your phone or have printed copies for scanning on the night to gain access to the park.

Is it accessible?

There are 3 accessible entrances – A, B & F. You plus 3 members of your party can use these entrances. There are accessible toilets around the site and they will be signposted on the park. A viewing area will be reserved for wheelchair users and accessible entrances will be available on the gates.

What can I bring inside?

No sparklers, fireworks, or alcohol can be brought onto the site and to ensure entrance checks are done quickly, please don’t bring large bags. Pets will not be permitted onto the site during the event (except for service dogs where evidence is presented).

Where can I park?

There is no car parking in Abbey Park, Abbey Park Road, St Margaret’s Pastures car park or the surrounding areas. If you’re able to walk, use public transport or cycle to the event, please do, there are bike parks on site.

 A limited number of parking spaces for Blue Badge holders are available close by, but these must be booked in advance by emailing festivals@leicester.gov.uk

Will Abbey Park be closed for long?

The park side and bandstand area will be closed to the public from Thursday 2 November 4.30pm until Monday 6 November at 1pm.

Abbey Park (ground side & pets corner) closes at 2pm on Saturday 4 November & reopens 5 November as normal including the Café.
