Americans across the world will be celebrating Independence Day on the 4th of July which is America’s biggest national holiday. In celebration of this great celebration we thought we’d add an American theme to one of our Featured Articles - what better than one centred around one of our favourite things…yes, you guessed it! It’s food! The US is famous for plenty of mouth-watering foodie inventions including the humble hamburger, delicious deep dish pizza, terrific texas barbeque and scrumptious apple pie to name but a few. So, let’s start the journey of foodie heaven right here in Leicester.

The menu at Handmade Burger Company is proper fresh because all the food is made from scratch. TGI’s

Back in 1965 New Yorker Alan Stillman purchased a bar and named it TGI Fridays. It was a place where you could meet up with friends with an emphasis purely on having fun. Forward to many years later and the brand made a giant leap across the pond to Birmingham bringing the Friday feeling to the UK. Now you can enjoy that same Friday feeling at TGI’s located just outside the High Cross in Leicester.

Marco’s New York Italian

Marco’s New York Italian restaurant is located in the city centre on Granby Street at the Mercure Hotel. The menu boasts a diverse American/Italian menu including some of Marco’s favourite mouth-watering dishes. Boo

BOO!!!!! Were you scared? We weren’t out to scare you, but to tell you about the brilliant Boo burger, one of Leicester’s ‘hippest’ burger places situated in London Road. Choose from a selection of burgers including the very cool sounding Chick-A-Boo and the vegetarian Booloumi burger. Why not add to your burger with sides including buffalo wings, rustic fries and creamy milkshakes.
