UK Asian Film Festival Leicester

UK Asian Film Festival Leicester

Come and celebrate the second UK Asian Film Festival Leicester this month, showcasing contemporary south Asian cinema through a curated film programme and related events from 15-31 March.

To mark the centenary of women’s right to vote in the UK, this year’s festival is F-Rated. The rating champions women in film and is designed to support and promote women and redress the imbalance in the film industry.

For our launch event on 15 March, Pakistan’s biggest celebrity actress Mahira Khan will be In Conversation with BBC Asian Network presenter Noreen Khan at Phoenix Cinema and Art Centre, Leicester.

Across the festival we will be showcasing a curated programme of contemporary south Asian cinema, including Q&A sessions with cast and crew, at Phoenix Leicester, as well as lectures and live music events at other venues.  See our website for further information, including times and locations.
