The Danelaw Saga: How the Vikings Never Left the East Midlands

About

The Danelaw Saga: How the Vikings Never Left the East Midlands

Without the Vikings the East Midlands would be a very different place to the one we know and recognise today.

In this talk, Dr Roderick Dale will look at the Vikings' impact on the region, examine the many ways in which their influence shaped the various East Midlands identities, and show how – contrary to popular belief - they never really left our shores.

Tickets are available priced £4.50, for pre-booking, contact the Guildhall on: 0116 253 2569

Doors open and cash bar from 7pm, talk begins 7.30pm.

Event organised by the Leicestershire Archaeological and Historical Society.
