Schools Ride Leicester

The UK’s biggest mass ride for young people from Leicester and Leicestershire Schools.

Ride Leicester’s annual celebration for Leicester & Leicestershire cycling-friendly schools, Schools Ride marks the launch of Ride Leicester Festival.

Up to 500 pupils and supporting adults from Leicester Primary Schools will ride into Leicester City Centre on Friday 6th July. The riders will be led by Leicester City Football Club’s Filbert Fox. Filbert is a keen cyclist. He will ride his own B-Buddies bicycle from Bede Park into Cathedral Square.    

Compere for Schools Ride is Comedian Tiernan Douieb. There will be a large Ride Leicester Bike Park on Cathedral Gardens for the event. Schools will receive certificates from Leicester City Mayor’s Team. Celebrations will culminate in a BMX stunt display.      

Promoting Bikeability, Go-Ride, Bike It and Leicester Cycle Circuit projects for whole school communities. Schools Can sign up for FREE at choosehowyoumove.co.uk/schoolsride

Schools Ride 2018 is supported by British Cycling, Sustrans, Choose How You Move, Living Streets, Leicester City Council, Leicestershire County Council and Leicester City Football Club.
