Picnic Pop Up on Green Dragon Square

Picnic Pop Up on Green Dragon Square

Leicester has a new Picnic Pop Up area this summer to add to the outdoor café seating in the city centre.

Opening until October the Picnic Pop Up space on Green Dragon Square, is situated between Knight and Garter and Leicester Market.

With picnic tables, shaded parasols and fabulous plants all arranged for social distancing the area is the perfect spot to relax and bring food from one of many restaurants and cafés in the city centre. Plus, you can get no-contact delivery service from Deliveroo, JustEat, EatMe, UberEats, and Owlgetit straight to the main entrance for safe collection.

Your safety is important, so while you enjoy yourself help minimise the transmission risk of coronavirus by practicing social distancing and washing or sanitising your hands often. To help you stay safe we've set out the picnic tables to make it easier for social distancing, staff will take special care to regularly clean surfaces, and there's hand sanitiser available at the entrance and exit.

The Picnic Pop Up is open 7 days a week, Monday - Saturday 11am -7pm and Sunday 11am-5pm with free entry.

Please be aware maximum of up to 6 people per table, only those from the same household or support bubble. Alcohol allowed only with food and no glass or bottles permitted in the area.
