About

Open 31: The Peoples Exhibition

Leicester's ever popular open exhibition celebrates its 31st year, showcasing contemporary artwork and craft by artists from across the East Midlands.

The annual Open exhibition is the city's premier showcase for visual art within the city, celebrating the rich and diverse skills of our local artists.

The displays include the outstanding Youth Category (ages 5-19) and Adult exhibitions, providing an excellent opportunity for artists from both amateur and professional backgrounds to demonstrate their artistic skills and creative vision.

Work featured in the exhibition is available for purchase, ideal for unique Christmas gifts or a chance to start your own original art collection – all supporting the city and regions creative talent.

Applications for the exhibition are currently available until midnight on Sunday 25 October for anyone who lives or studies in Leicester or the East Midlands (this includes the regions of Leicestershire, Rutland, Derbyshire, Lincolnshire, Nottinghamshire or Northamptonshire), and anyone who is aged 5 years and above. For full application info and to apply, please visit the museums website.
