A series of 6 lectures looking at some of the key projects that have shaped our understanding of the
archaeology of the 2 counties, looking not only at the results but the changing way that archaeology has been organised. Peter Liddle MBE has worked in local archaeology for over 50 years and has been involved in many of these projects.
Prior booking is useful but not essential.

May 4th: Burrough Hill (University research/training project)
May 11th: Rutland Water and the Rutland Roman Villa Project (rescue excavation/ research)
May 18th: The Hallaton Treasure (metal detecting and research excavation)
May 25th: The Highcross Shopping Centre, Leicester (developer funded excavation)
June 1st: Bradgate Park (University research/training project)
