Jubilee Square Ice Rink

About

Jubilee Square Ice Rink

Come down to Jubilee Square and get your skates on for some festive fun on ice – real ice!

From 9 December to 8 January a huge ice rink – with real ice – is open in the centre of Leicester, and whether you fancy yourself a professional or are more like Bambi on ice, this Christmas is the perfect time to give skating a whirl.

No need to worry about the weather – come rain or shine you can glide happily under a clear roof, looking up at the Christmas Wheel of Light.

Skate hire and a 45-minute session on the ice will cost £8 for adults and £6.50 for children/concessions at off-peak times (11am-4pm Monday to Friday, excluding Bank Holidays). Tickets for all other times will cost £9 for adults and £7.50 for children/concessions. Scroll down to see opening times.

Feeling a bit wobbly? Skating aids are available for younger skaters to hire, making the ice rink great fun and safe for all the family. You'll need to purchase a skate aid directly from the Box Office located in BBC Radio Leicester before you enter the ice rink.

Bring your friends, your family, neighbours – the more the merrier, especially as groups of four or more people will save 10% on standard prices, with a 15% discount available to groups of 11 or more people.

The 30m x 15m rink is available to hire for Christmas parties, with prices available on request.

Advance tickets are available to purchase online through our event ticketing partner, De Montfort Hall, by clicking the "visit website" button in the Key Information section below. You can also get tickets in-person at the Visit Leicester Information Centre.

Walk up tickets are available for purchase either by cash or card payment from the Box Office located at BBC Radio Leicester in Jubilee Square. The Box Office is open from 10.30am to 8.15pm. Please note the Box Office cannot process contactless payments.
