Joseph from Scratch: A Family Singing Workshop | Family Fridays

Come along to Leicester Cathedral for a fun-filled singing workshop for all the family! You'll be taught some songs by the brilliant Emma Trounson (biography below) - she'll give you her top tips and tricks and then you'll have a chance to perform it for each other at the end. Book now to avoid disappointment!

Emma is a choral conductor and Soprano. She studied BA Music and French with a major in performance at Bristol University and MA Choral Conducting at the Royal Welsh College of Music and Drama. Emma is Director of Music at All Saints with Holy Trinity Parish Church in Loughborough and Musical Director of Fosse Singers, Semper Singers and Corah.

She leads the SoundCafé choir for homeless and vulnerably housed adults in Leicester. Emma performed the soprano solo in Schubert Mass in G live on BBC 1 for the Easter Day broadcast from Leicester Cathedral and had a solo part on Radio 4's Sunday Worship programme to commemorate 50 years since the moon landing. Emma sang in the choir for the Richard III Reinterment services broadcast live on Channel 4 and has been a frequent soloist on BBC Radio Leicester.

She conducted her choir Fosse Singers on the pitch of the King Power Stadium as they sang the National Anthems for 3 matches of the 2015 Rugby World Cup. Emma has conducted and sang solo at Curve, De Montfort Hall and numerous major English and European Cathedrals.
