About

Heritage open day Richard III and Windows tours

Join us one of our free specially commissioned stained glass windows tours which take in the most significant examples around the Cathedral. Although none of the stained glass in the Cathedral pre-dates the late Victorian period it encompasses a variety of styles and includes exquisite detailing.

The following free tours will be available on Saturday 14 September:

- - Richard III tours at 11.00am and 1.00p

- - Cathedral windows tours at 11.30am and 2.30pm lasting 45 minutes (with a free guide book included)

Between 13–22 September, the Cathedral is also hosting a mini exhibition across the span of the Heritage Open Day festival exploring the rise of workers' education in 19th century Leicester and the part David Vaughan played in this. Come along and find out more!

Spaces are limited on both the Richard III and windows tours so pre-booking is essential. To make a booking please contact Rebecca Hale on Rebecca.Hale@leccofe.org or on 0116 261 5362
