About

City Festival

The City Festival celebrates Leicester in the heart of the city. Taking place over eleven fun-packed days, sites across the city centre will be filled with street entertainment, sports, culture, music, art, heritage and more.

Now in its 6th year the City Festival continues to develop and bring new and innovative events to Leicester. 2018 sees new and exciting events joining the festival, such as Dancing in the Streets and Art in the City. This year also sees the expansion of the City Streets festival, a four day street festival featuring unique performances from national and international street artists from as far away as Italy and Slovenia.

Many firm favourites will be returning this year including Let’s Ride, Leicester Belgrave Mela, Journeys Festival International, Cosmopolitan Carnival and the ever popular Old Town Festival, which this year will include events to mark the centenary of the First World War.
