Celebrating 50 years of Leicestershire Embroiderers' Guild (Crafty Stitchers)

About

Celebrating 50 years of Leicestershire Embroiderers' Guild (Crafty Stitchers)

2018 will mark the 50th anniversary of Leicestershire Embroiderers' Guild (Crafty Stitchers).

This exhibition will focus on the wide variety of techniques used by branch members including hand and machine embroidery, felt work, Goldwork and Blackwork. However, you will not see any embroidered tray cloths!

Also on show will be our joint projects to celebrate 300 years of Capability Brown and our Millennium Triptych ((by kind permission of the Museums Service). The triptych consists of three panels which celebrate the history of Leicester and Leicestershire and cover our social history, flora and fauna and industrial past.

We will be having demonstrations on our opening day (16 June) with light refreshments. Please come and see our members' work.
