About

Bring The Paint

The award winning international street art festival, Bring The Paint, returns to Leicester to host one of the UK's biggest arts events of the 2019.

World renowned artists from America, Australia, Tahiti, Mexico, Germany, France, Greece and the UK are transforming Leicester city centre with world-class mural paintings. The festival will bring together 50 street artists with headline internationally acclaimed painters including; SMUG, INKIE, INSANE 51, HOW & NOSM, TASSO, DOES, NOMAD CLAN, FLYING FORTRESS and WON ABC (full artist line up). Supported by Arts Council England, BID Leicester and De Montfort University, Bring The Paint is set to bring international acclaim to a city on the rise.

Bring The Paint is taking place in Leicester city centre from 20th to 26th May 2019, with the main events happening on Saturday 25th May in the Cultural Quarter and Sunday 26th May at Frog Island / The Mill. Take a look at the event brochure, with details of events, activities and artwork locations here

The festival will attract 10,000 visitors to the city and paint giant buildings, bring to life vacant retail units, as well as create spectacular 3D floor art. There will be opportunities for children and families to get involved with workshops, music and food & drinks. To top it all off, the organisers will host an art fair, giving people the chance to purchase unique artwork.

As part of the festival, there will also be:
• Locals Jams at legal city centre locations
• Window illustrations through out the Cultural Quarter
• Pop-Up street art exhibitions
• A skate and BMX arena
• Street furniture
• A wide variety of carefully curated music though out the main weekend
• A series of free family friendly workshops to compliment the wide range of artwork taking place

Once the daytime entertainment draws to a close we still have a couple of tricks up our sleeves with the exclusive FREE after parties.

On Saturday, May 25th ARTWERK will be a one day retail experience taking place alongside Bring The Paint's main day of activities in the Cultural Quarter. The vision is that the public visiting the festival can come along and purchase Ltd edition prints, apparel, books, etc of local and national artists at the pop up shop/fair. Full info can be found on their Facebook page
