About

Always and always facing toward the Light

We're delighted to bring renowned video mapping specialists Shared Space & Light to Leicester for the first time to produce a spectacular FREE show in New Market Square.

Alice Hawkins' remarkable and inspiring story will be brought to life with live performance, a spectacular local choir and an incredible video projection on the historic Corn Exchange. This major event - celebrating Alice's story and closely linked to International Women's Day on March 8th – is not to be missed!

Leicester is one of seven cities in the Centenary Cities project marking 100 years of Votes for Women funded by the Government Equalities Office with a range of exhibitions, events and the launch of the Alice Hawkins statue in New Market Square. See the activities taking place in Leicester on this supporting leaflet.

Show times are 6.30pm, 7.45pm and 9pm.

Your FREE event wristband can be picked up from Visit Leicester on Gallowtree Gate, the Highcross Customer Service Desk, LCB Depot, and New Walk Museum.

There will be wristbands available from Visit Leicester up until 9pm on Sunday, but we'd advise picking one up beforehand to make sure!
