You can explore six interactive galleries filled with satellites, meteorites, and genuine lunar artefacts, and marvel at the iconic 42-metre-high Rocket Tower.

In the Welcome Hall, you can discover a world-class collection of spacesuits. These include the suit worn by British astronaut Tim Peake, the suit used by Matt Damon in ‘The Martian’, and the underwear worn by Buzz Aldrin for the historic Apollo 11 mission.

Leicester has a fantastic reputation in the space industry, and you are visiting a city where a Leicester-built instrument has been operating in space every year, since 1967!

With every entry ticket, you can enjoy a show at the Sir Patrick Moore Planetarium. Opened in 2012, it is the largest planetarium in the UK, with 360-degree technology to give you a fully immersive cinematic experience.

The National Space Centre also hosts regular themed weekends, including celebrations of Science Fiction, LEGO, and Star Wars. These events book up fast, o so make sure you purchase your tickets in advance. You can even upgrade your ticket to a free annual pass, allowing you to return as many times as you like for a full year!

There's plenty of on-site parking, a fantastic gift shop for telescopes and souvenirs, and Boosters Café - where you can choose from a selection of fresh sandwiches, nachos, and gourmet hot dogs that cater to all dietary requirements.
