An Evening of Art and Bowling

Here’s one for the lighter evenings and if you catch this alongside a famous Leicester sunset then you’ll have the recipe for a fantastic night out, AND weeks’ worth of content for your Instagram feed!

So, start off by downloading the free LoyalFree app and select Tours and Trails, then you can choose the Bring The Paint 2022 trail, which shows you how to find some of the city’s most impressive street art. Or if you fancy exploring the pubs of Leicester then choose Art On Tap which directs you to a range of different pubs and bars which have fantastic artworks by local and national artists.

Games galore at Lane7 Leicester

Once you’ve had your fill of exploring, then head toward Great Central Street (across the ring road from the Highcross Shopping Centre) and you’ll find Lane7. Built into Leicester’s former Great Central Station and featuring fun and funky urban designs, plus loads of graffiti embellishments, you could try your arm on the bowling alleys or putt your way round their devilishly difficult adventure golf course. Drinks and street food are of course on offer to keep your energy levels up.

Food and Cocktails in the cool confines of Cosy Club

If after all that you’re still hungry then drop in for a late meal at one of Leicester’s many restaurants. Cosy Club is housed in a former knitwear factory and has loads of varied food on offer. Or you might want something a little more international… Tamatanga on Shires Lane has delicious curries, chaats and biryanis. Or Wakaze on high street has authentic Japanese sushi, udon, katsu curry and loads more besides.
