Are you ready to take your taste buds for a spin? The inaugural Leicester Restaurant Week is nearly here and gives you the chance to sample dishes from 27 restaurants around the city for some amazing prices.

The hospitality industry has had a difficult time over the last year, and especially in Leicester, where extended lockdowns have hit pubs and restaurants hard. Now we’re back open again, supporting our amazing local businesses is more important than ever.

Taking place from Monday 18 to Sunday 24 October, Leicester Restaurant Week will be shining a light on some of our very best restaurants, with great deals on offer for diners. Participating restaurants will be offering fixed price menus and showcasing some of their very best dishes with offers that will be exclusive to Restaurant Week.

Whether you’re looking for fine dining, some of the best steaks in the city, quality pub grub or street food and cocktails, there’s something on offer for you. You can try Thai, sample sandwiches or chow down on curry, whatever you fancy, it’s just a click away.

Taste the world in style

Taste Thailand at Giggling Squid where a three course lunch meal will only set you back £19.95, or if you have an appetite for Argentinian cuisine, then Sonrisa have the deal for you. Just £20 will get your three small plates from their specially curated menu. Try the sharing menu of amazing Indian street foot at the Instagram-worthy Mowgli for just £19.50.

Street food and snacks

At Bodega Cantina in St Martin’s Square you can try Street Food and cocktails for two for just £20 and the Rutland and Derby has a tasting board for only £14. Dama Rose has an Arabic style afternoon tea for £20 and if you’re catching half term lunch on the run, pop into St Martin’s Coffee Shop where you can get two sandwiches and two kids meals for £20.

Pub meals and pizza

If you want to try some food in a more relaxed setting, then there are loads of great pub meals available. The Parcel Yard have beer and a burger for £15, and the Queen of Bradgate and the Globe have a variety of offers up to a 3 course dinner. You can also try the amazing pizzas at Peter Pizzeria, only £15 for two and £19 for three courses!

Fine food, fair prices

Orton’s Brasserie have a special deal for every day of the week from their brunch menu to steak night and even a special venison and wine dinner. Head to Middletons Steakhouse and Grill with their £18.95 three course set menu, that’s an amazing bargain for their delicious steaks.
