About

The Rutland & Derby

The Rutland & Derby is well known as the place to eat, drink and be merry in Leicester. Located just off the beaten track on Millstone Lane, the Rutland & Derby is within close walking distance to the Cathedral, King Richard III Visitor Centre and Highcross shopping centre.

The vibrant city pub has an extensive range of cask ales and ciders, continental lagers and craft brews. But that’s not all they have to offer: the bar staff mix up some of the best original cocktails in the city using artisans spirits, and can offer a variety of wines you won’t be able to find in your local supermarket. Not to be missed is the spacious garden complete with roof terrace, where many Leicester locals will be found soaking up long summer evenings.

The Rutland & Derby is a classy city centre pub with a reputation for award-winning street food. Especially popular are the gourmet riffs on the Canadian favourite, poutine. Here, it varies from the classic “cheese and gravy on chips” version to take in the likes of katsu, brisket or pizza. Also available are burgers and wings with international flavours such as jerk, goats’ cheese and truffle, or maple and bourbon.
