Remember remember, the Fifth of November, gunpowder, treason and plot! While the sinister origins of bonfire night are all in the past (and can be explored at the 1620s House in Donington le Heath), there’s loads going on in and around Leicestershire this year.

We missed the smell of smoke from the bonfire, filling ourselves with food and listening to the oohs and ahhs as fireworks explode overhead, and we’ve listed some of the biggest displays going on around the county. Grab a toffee apple, wrap up warm and look to the skies as we bring in the autumn with a bang!

If you're coming to any of these autumn and winter events, please do a quick lateral flow test before you go, wear a face covering in crowds and indoor spaces, and stay at home if you feel unwell.
