Vegan Food in Leicester

Over the past few years veganism has increased in popularity with dedicated restaurants and cafes popping up in towns and cities everywhere. Now here’s a fact you may not know…the word ‘vegan’ was coined in Leicester when the first vegan activist Donald Watson established the Vegan Society in 1944!

To celebrate World Vegan month we thought we’d tell you about the best places for vegan food in Leicester. So here we go…

The Parade, Oadby is the home of 100% plant-based restaurant Sanctua and has only recently been opened by founder Bindu Patel. All her ingredients are sourced from local providers and dishes have been inspired by several global cuisines that follow the Ayurvedic principles of achieving balance in taste and texture. This is definitely vegan cuisine at its best!
