If you’re itching to find somewhere in Leicester with a suitable screen, great drinks and an even better atmosphere – you’ve come to the right place.

The Shed

Although The Shed is known as more of an independent music venue, their recent addition of a 15ft LED screen means that there’s no craning your neck or looking over shoulders. If that’s not enough, they also offer happy hour prices whenever a game’s on!

Showcase Cinema de Lux

Following the theme of the biggest screen we can find, the Showcase Cinema de Lux is showing every single World Cup match, live on their mammoth screen, for FREE! All you need to do is call their box office to book tickets.

The Locker Room

If you’re worried about finding a seat, fear not! At The Locker Room you can pre-book a booth with a view of one of their 20 screens. If you’re feeling especially organised, you can also pre-book your drinks and receive 20% off.

There’s no need to walk about in Walkabout, they offer table service during selected games, as well as huge 9 pint beer towers to share around the table. Just make sure you pre-book a table, all of which will have a view of one of their 20+ screens and two HD projectors.

Soar Point

Soar Point is the home of multiple TVs and a projector screen, all of which will be showing the World Cup games. There are even board games to keep the non-watchers entertained while you rush out to the balcony screaming in frustration/joy.

The Distillery

The recently converted Slug and Lettuce, now The Distillery, has plenty of HD screens. They also host a projector with standing space, or you can choose to book a VIP booth, featuring table service throughout the game.

The Exchange

Although it’s a lovely relaxing cocktail bar, the atmosphere definitely heats up in their screen-laden basement. You can take advantage of their gorgeous drinks all evening, as well as £5 pizzas on offer during all the games.

Sprits Bar

Spirits Bar, the latest addition to the city centre, is showing all the games in their stunningly designed bar. Make sure you take advantage of their 2 for £10 classic cocktail offer during matches, maybe a White Russian in honour of our hosts?

After their recent refurb, O’Neill’s is kitted out with a number of HD screens for your viewing pleasure. They’re showing every game you can get along to; make sure you book your table ahead of time for a guaranteed seat!

Hogarths is showing every game this World Cup on two of their giant screens, as well as a number of HDTVs. Weekend games will have a DJ spinning classic tunes right until kick-off, to get you in a footballing mood!

The Friary

Not to be outdone, the neighbouring Friary is also showing all the games on their multiple TVs. They also offer reserved priority seating, bookable towers of beer, table service, and an incredible atmosphere.

The Bowling Green

World Cup fever is in full effect at The Bowling Green, packed out with flags and football regalia; it’s a perfect spot for watching the beautiful game. They also have standalone 8 Pint carling dispensers – meaning you don’t have to leave the table for a refill!

The Loaded Dog

A favourite of University of Leicester students, The Loaded Dog on London Road is hosting all the games on their 12 HDTVs, big screen and even an outdoor TV. If that isn’t enough for you, they also offer chicken wings at 25p a piece on Wednesdays.
