More Coffee Co. is tucked away in the country's home of food and drink, Melton Mowbray. Our aim is simple; to bring our guests the best coffee and food we possibly can, and provide a space in which anyone might find a home.
Amazing coffee
We pride ourselves in serving exceptional coffee. Our friends at Limini Coffee in Yorkshire source the green beans directly and roast them to an exact profile. Less than two weeks later, the roasted beans are in our grinder, ready to be ground fresh for every single cup of coffee – even the decaf!
Fresh & local food
We think it’s important to use local ingredients and support local businesses where possible. We use Knapps Family Butchers, Leeson Family Butchers for their Authentic Melton Mowbray Pork Pies, The Melton Cheeseboard, Belvoir Fruit Farms pressés.
All of our food is prepared freshly to order and we have a good range of vegetarian, vegan and gluten-free options available.

We pride ourselves on our homemade cakes, all baked here in our kitchen by Amber and the team. We always try to have vegan and gluten-free options available (but sorry if they’ve been popular and sold out for the day!).

Dog policy: Dogs are welcome in our courtyard garden. Feel free to bring them inside while you order and pay.
Accessibility: While the coffee shop and courtyard are on one floor and are accessible, we unfortunately don’t have an accessible toilet. Please also note that step-free access to the courtyard is via Church Street, which is cobbled.

Our story
“When I was offered the chance to purchase this coffee shop, I jumped at the opportunity. More Coffee Co. has been my ‘local’ for over 5 years. When I floated the idea amongst other regulars it became apparent that there was an interest in the shop becoming community owned.
And so it was, in June 2019 a new company was formed with the view to distribute shares between interested parties, of which there are now 23. A community owned shop for the enjoyment of all – from visitors to locals, regulars or new friends.
There is a small but dedicated team of people who run the operation, with Amber Shearer at the helm. We all share a common aim of continuing to provide the best tasting coffee, accessible to all.

Sourced and roasted by Limini...
“We believe in blind cupping. That means that we have a selection of green coffees in front of us, usually from the same country and we have absolutely no idea what the coffee is, how much it cost or how it was grown. This way we focus purely on the quality in the cup and that is very important to us. Our importers only source coffee from origin for us that is ethically sourced and that has been paid above the minimum Fairtrade price and always way above the market price.
Once we have picked out the coffee that we like we profile roast the coffee to find the very best way to roast this particular coffee. Roasting coffee is special and requires trial and error. Initially this can take a long time as you need to explore various roasting profiles to learn your bean. After years of doing this it does get easier and you start to understand how certain green beans need to be handled.
Once the coffee has been roasted to a way that makes us happy we come up with a flavour description and develop a label. After this we maintain the profile by tasting and cupping the coffees as much as we can.
We have a responsibility to the coffee farmer to ensure that the coffee is roasted perfectly each and every time and that the coffee is brewed correctly to do the coffee justice.”

Buy coffee beans
We sell our house blend beans in bags of 250g and 1kg in-store, as well as our chemical-free decaf. If you need your coffee ground, we can add your request to our weekly order from Limini, where they will grind it for us (our grinders do one coffee at a time!).
