About

Heritage Sundays Guided Tours: St Mary de Castro Church

A blue badge guided tour of the St Mary de Castro Church for Heritage Sundays.

This historic church was founded as a chapel to serve the medieval castle. Henry IV was knighted here as a boy and Chaucer married here in the 1360s. Although much altered since medieval times, the church still retains many of its early features.

Follow a guided tour of St Mary de Castro Church with a local history expert.
