The Visit Leicester Information Centre is the perfect place to begin your visit to Leicester and the region.

Discover events and attractions, browse our selection of leaflets and brochures, or speak with our experienced, friendly staff who will help you make the most of your visit.  

You can buy tickets for local theatres including De Montfort Hall and Curve and find out more about what’s on in Leicester, including, shows, festivals, events, gigs, concerts and more.

Our staff can help you plan where to shop, eat and relax give information on accommodation and day trips.

Discover over 2,000 years of history, including the Richard III archaeological dig, through the 'Story of Leicester' wall at the centre, highlighting our rich history and heritage.

Monday to Saturday: 9.30am – 5.30pm *
* Please note due to staff training the information centre will open at 11am on Thursday 13 April, 11 May, 8 June, 13 July, 10 August, 14 September, 12 October, 9 November and 14 December.

Sundays and Bank Holidays: 10am - 4pm


Old Town Information Point

Located in the BBC Radio Leicester building in the historic heart of Leicester, the Old Town Information Point offers a wide range of leaflets on local heritage including The Magazine, Leicester Castle and Wygston’s House, as well as free city centre maps and guides. There are also two digital screens with all the latest information about local events and activities with a historical connection.

Buy tickets

You can buy tickets for all of your favourite shows from jazz to classical, musicals to comedy shows. Tickets are available for Curve and De Montfort Hall and tickets for more venues to be available to purchase soon. We also see tickets for large-scale events such as the Abbey Park Firework display and more...

The Visit Leicester Information Centre is open 7 days a week, Monday to Saturday: 9.30am – 5.30pm, Sundays and Bank Holidays: 10am - 4pm, and only closed Christmas Day and New Years Day.
