Leicester gets ready for ICC Women’s World Cup

The countdown has begun to the International Cricket Council (ICC) Women’s World Cup 2017, with just weeks before Leicester hosts its first match of the tournament.

Grace Road will be the venue for seven World Cup fixtures, starting with Pakistan v South Africa on Sunday 25 June and followed by England v Pakistan on Tuesday 27 June.

The ICC Women’s World Cup 2017 gets under way on Saturday 24 June, with 28 matches taking place over 21 days, culminating in the final at Lord’s on Sunday 23 July.

Tickets for all 28 round-robin matches in Leicester, Bristol, Derby and Taunton will go on sale at 12 noon today (8 March).  Match tickets – £10 for adults, £5 for students (aged 17-23) and £2 for under 16s available from www.icc-cricket.com/tickets
