About

Archaeological Finds Day

Have you found any small archaeological objects?

If you have found an object which is made of metal, stone or ceramic, our local Finds Liaison Officer will be more than happy to take a look and give you more information as well as explain how finds are recorded with the Portable Antiquities Scheme to help advance knowledge of the history and archaeology of England and Wales. You can find out more about the Portable Antiquities Scheme here.

Whether you are a seasoned metal detectorist, or you have made a chance find in your garden, we may be able to help identify your archaeological discoveries.

This event is FREE and no booking is required.

This event is part of the Festival of Leicestershire and Rutland Archaeology.
